It’s been over a year since my abortion. I don’t really feel sadness or think about it often. When I do, I don’t feel extremely broken. Is this normal? It’s not that I’m not sad about it - it’s just that it was the best option at the time.

A note from Connect & Breathe: The feelings that accompany an abortion experience - whether it be sadness, relief, anxiety, happiness, grief, or guilt - may vary from person to person and change over time. Each of these feelings are normal because each situation is as unique as the individual who had the experience. It is OK to trust yourself and your decision.
